I know it's a gift we are getting content at all under these current circumstances but I just wanted to say I much prefer non-solo streams over solo-streams, even if that means we'll get less content overall. People playing games and talking together is what makes Giant Bomb, Giant Bomb for me. Otherwise, it just feels like another Twitch stream. Maybe others feel different but just voicing my opinion as you all figure out your content plans.

I know some may disagree but I feel like Satisfactory might benefit gameplay wise if it had an optional hurdle(optional for people who want it)that pushed back against your progress. I'm not saying it needs an army of ants that are attracted to your pollution sources but something that you might need build defensively against.

Building special walls to keep out animals that break or steal items from the conveyor, electric fences that keep large grazing animals from crushing buildings, turrets that scare away large alien birds that chew through power lines and steal vehicles. Things that make the alien worlds your in seem dynamic instead of easily paved over.

GB knows its strength which is why Unprofessional Fridays is a weekly staple. The solo content is a stop-gap for these extraordinary times. They'll get back to form when things are a little less nuts.

@funksff: It's nice but it's like, well everyone I know is working remote. It's not like you just stop working. I already work remote (and rarely go out) so not much changed for me. But here in Austin, nearly as big of a tech city as SF, almost every big tech company mandated everyone work for home weeks ago (FaceBook, Indeed, Amazon, etc.) The duders still need a paycheck. It'd be weird if they didn't post content.

With that all said, the surprising thing is how they did it without a break. So kudos to them. I bet part of that is that work and hanging with your friends is a good way to not ruminate on this mess (which is easy to do via social media and the news.) I think their output will steadily improve. Pretty obvious not everyone is setup for streaming just yet. There's been good stuff this week, in any case, and I'm sure more to come. Not to mention, I can chip away a little at my massive GB backlog!

This is helping me get through these tough times. Thank you.

Just meant to say I'm glad they're working considering they have families to attend to. Definite props to them for doing it seamlessly. Its a nice little break from reality.

Poor guys are playing on non-experimental, aren't they....Not that I'd expect this save to go on too far, but I'm hoping Vinny in particular isn't going to be super put off by the save breaking in Update 3.

I'd love to see some more Factorio love on the site. Something about the perspective makes things so much easier for me to follow and pushes more of my buttons. To each their own, i think I've heard Vinny mention he likes Factorio as well though.

*edit* Vinny almost immediately talks about Factorio and the differences between the two games. I get it, this is more action then factorio and may make for a better video, but i would very much enjoy watching some more methodical Factorio play as well.

All I could think when Brad was chiseling ore was "We will, we will, rock you!" Pun unintentional.

Laying a factory out in grids stresses me out. I like to just throw everything anywhere and embrace the chaos. Then I end up burrying the old building in some sort of weird undercity and just keep building on platforms above them.

From 10:00 to 12:00 is very painful to watch

Vinny not telling Brad to pick up flowers/leaves/nuts/berries is just painful......

Wait till Vinny discovers how much more complicated coal is. :)

@juvigt: For sure, but starting at about 16:20 it's even worse. Not understanding what the Relevant Items section is and how to craft basic materials and where they go was so hard to watch. I haven't finished that section, but came into the comments to see if I was alone or not :)

How is this game for those that have played a lot? Worth picking up now or waiting for full release?

@mattchops: i've maxed out the current tech tree, and had a lot of fun getting to the point i am at (around 100 hours). That being said, if you want something like subnautica's narrative to pull you through it isn't really in the game yet (they say its coming, but there isn't even bones yet). All the motivation for exploring the world is currently around resource discovery/exploitation.

@jjobes: Subnautica on ps4 is fairly similar. It's got exploration and building (though not necessarily at this level of complication) and an interesting narrative on top of that.

Loving this game right now. Please do more of these in the Lockdown Era and beyond!

Since Brad & Vinny mentioned Astroneer, which is one of my favorite games, I feel the need to point out (way too late) that I would certainly love if they joined up for an astroneering session or two.

God this is so freaking painful to watch. This UI is not complicated at all and Brad is just not getting it. Had to turn it off.

If this is a series I'm all for it.

At the end, Vinny came so close to coining a term to name this genre of games. They should be called "Build 'Em Ups."

Anything with Vinny and building in it I'll take! Love these types of streams. :)

Also: love the grass/foliage in this game. Find myself admiring it a lot.
