There is EXP share, the item is called the Coward's Cloak and it only works for the Temtem you equip it on. You can get it after you acquire the surfboardskates.

Regarding the Xbox series X discussion. I assume the orientation of the box is intended to use convexion to aid the airflow inside the device. Similar to the Corsair ONE, which has one single huge fan on the top of the case.

Putting the series X on its side probably isn't a good idea and neither is putting it into a shelve which would restrict the airflow as well.

Digimon is more styled by/inspired from Tamagotchi, they even came in the same way initially.

Man, I got really scared when Jeff said that they're not making a new Pro Evolution Soccer because I still play it a lot and love it. So I frantically started googling this and can't find anything, thank god! I think Jeff got a little confused because PES lost the Champions League/Europa League license, and also they renamed the game (they put efootball in front of it).

So hopefully PES is not going anywhere, although with Konami you never know. I would love it if a company like Sega would swoop in and take over, shake things up a bit.

Just want to note that for those of us who play a lot of VR, the amount of hours we can comfortably play really depends on the game and the headset you own. I played No Man's Sky in VR for about 12 hours in one day, and it was totally fine cause I played seated and the PSVR is very comfortable for me. No more of a bother than when playing PC games by a desk with keyboard + mouse.

Posture is what matters the most. If you have nerd neck, like most of us do, adding further weight to the head does a real number on the neck. Once I corrected for this and got a better posture, VR became totally doable for hours on end unless they are physically demanding games. With those games I might play an hour or two a day until I'm done with the game. If it's a 20 hour game, that's like a couple of weeks of daily awesomeness.

Games take human physiology into account these days. Back in the early days of VR there was a LOT of waggling and swinging as fast as you can, perfect for just really fucking up the shoulders and elbows and wrists. That stuff is done, these days it's all about deliberate swings more along the lines of GORN, with "physicsy" weapons.

I predict that a lot of people will crank through Alyx in 2-3 days.

The premium version of this has something wrong with it, hope you'll reupload it soon, it won't download on my phone and gives an error, and it's also much smaller than the free version.

I couldn't download the premium version, i tried the free version and it works fine so it's probably just a botched upload.

Ben really came into his own in this one. Looking fresh to death and taking a super hard stance on the Kingdom Hearts in a pretty articulate way.

I'm loving Journey to the Savage Planet so far, I hadn't heard of it before reading a couple reviews yesterday, picked it up, and played for like 3 hours straight last night.

I'm sorta stunned to hear they were turned off by the start of the game, it hooked me from the start. It's immediately very funny (which they also disagreed with, weirdly), and the first thing you do is basically slap a space chicken so hard it explodes into goo all over you. Then you get to explore a cool planet, scan stuff, and there are codified objectives to do, what's not to like?

I think it manages to tow the line very well between being wacky and also being a sharp criticism of capitalism and colonialism, while also fun to play (but I also feel bad about just messing up the planet's resources in a very direct way).

This seems to be a pretty common misconception I'm hearing, but limit cut is absolutely not just a rush of reused bosses. It's a concept that goes back to the rerelease of kh2, where they take the 13 organization bosses and give them completely new attack patterns to make them blisteringly hard. So aside from the model being used that's 13 new boss encounters (plus the secret boss which is new including a new model), new bgm for each and every one, and 2 new arenas to fight them in. Not to mention the main re:mind content and a few other additions on top of that. Plus the fights are fucking fantastic, some of the best fights the series has produced. I'm not about to say the dlc is for everyone, some only care about the story in KH, but for those who care about the combat it's absolutely worth the money and obvious that $30 worth of work was put into it. I imagine no one would be batting an eye if they were released seperately with the main scenario at $15, the bosses at $10, and the rest at $5.

@rayeth: Thanks for the heads up. I can stream it as well. It's just the download that doesn't work. So all is not lost! ;)

ReMIND is a massive rip-off. If that thing had come out for free, I wouldn't have bat an eye. But it is instead 30 buckaroos, ten USD more than what Blood and Wine was at release.

I'm actually impressed they've managed to staff two full crews of folks so completely apathetic to the Silent Hill series. I ain't even mad about it.

Also they shouldn't make another Silent Hill. A reboot sounds like the quickest way to not please anyone.

I was actually looking forward to trying one, but after this episode...I think I might pass.

Same issue on my end with Doggcatcher.

I uploaded a new file to the premium feed with the umlaut removed, let me know if that fixes the download. We've also made some changes to our backend hosting for the show over the past month, so throwing an extra variable into the equation was probably a questionable decision.

@xerseslives: It's not completely unbelievable that they would have people apathetic to Silent Hill at this point. Haven't the last several entries into the series been duds? At this point, there's probably just as many bad games as their are good.

Pretty sure Brad and Jeff said the PS3 logo didn't rotate on the console but launch consoles definitely did by the disc slot.

I bought a Quest just to play Half-Life: Alyx and discovered it gives me considerable dry eye. Had to go to a doctor and was a whole thing. Opened my eyes (...) to how VR tech isn't ready for the mainstream yet. If it did this kind of damage to me, I can only imagine how bad it is for kids or seniors. Not sure I can even play the game now which is a bummer because I'm really looking forward to it. I guess this is what I get for being a boomer.

Honestly I think expecting more of the Pokemon games wouldn't be such a controversial stance to take. Certainly not such that you'd get a whole room of people laughing at the Kotaku article they mention.

Compare Pokemon to any other long running franchise owned/funded/primarily associated with Nintendo and I think the absolute stark lack of creativity and desire to try new thing things stands out like a blindingly bright flashing neon sign. Even more so when you realize how much money Pokemon is worth as a franchise. The fact that they have failed to turn all that profit and value into a next-gen AAA defining experience..or at least feel safe in experimenting, to me says its utterly fair to call the Pokemon dev's out for being either lazy, complacent or damned ill equip to make anything but the same basic game over and over again.

You know, for a bunch of guys who play video games for a living, there sure seem to be massive gaps in their collective knowledge. That Silent Hill conversation was... incredibly vague. "Y'know, as someone who never played these games, I'd sure like it if they were way different than the thing I never played."

Y'don't gotta play everything, but it'd be nice if there were more people on staff who could maybe fill these holes? Some of my favorite content over the past several years has been Spookin' With Scoops and Six Crazy Frights, despite them both being pretty surface-level, cursory glances at random horror titles. I mean, I guess they all like Dead Space/Resident Evil to some extent, but there's so much more!

Huh. First time I'd heard of anyone getting dry eyes from playing VR. Looking it up, it does seem to be a known problem for some people and it looks like it's because... some people who play VR blink a lot less? The fact that that's even a thing is incredibly interesting to me. It sounds so obvious that I wouldn't even consider it but it makes sense with how much more engaged you can get in VR and how much spatial awareness matters. Your specific issue might be different but that's what I've seen from others. Crazy how new tech can produce new issues like this.
