I think Eternal is way better than 2016. Honestly It'll be hard to ever go back. So many great additions to the gameplay. In 2016 the super shotgun was your one stop shop to fix all your problems now in Eternal you can't do that. You have to think tactically on the go which is fun.
I'm not sure why the concept of a docked-only switch is so unbelievable to everyone. There are for sure nintendo fans out there who want to play the latest nintendo games but also don't have any interest in the portability aspect of the switch.
I'd totally be down to buy a switch like that if it preformed better with games. The thought of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 not running like utter trash is a nice thought indeed.
@psdualwielder: Exactly. There are some things that they completely missed the boat on. The entire signficant thing about Lou being a girl is directly tied back to the fact that Sam lost his unborn daughter and his wife during a voidout.
Its Sam getting the daughter that he had stolen away from him. Which I thought was a touching ending. But of course GB didnt give any of that context and just made gender reveal jokes about it. Like that entire context is crucial to understand that scene. I dont care that they dont like it but man the way they misrepresent some of the story beats is incredibly frustrating.
After now digging into this for a few hours and finally getting past the death stranding conversation I still think that they just really downplay a lot of stuff and totally over look a lot of things if they think that the "we all need to come together" stuff is the only thematic beats the game ever hits.
But I rarely tend to agree with any of the staff's opinions anyways on games so whats new lol.
Count me in on the list of people that hate this format. I would much rather have focused discussion about a specific category instead of just hearing them recap games for hours on end.
