I think of myself as a Metroid fan but for whatever reason this game, despite the reviews, just doesn't get me excited. Perhaps that's just because I was hoping we'd see something about Prime 4 this year; and this is very much not that.
Was curious to see what the GB community thinks of Infinite and it seems to be bang in line with what I was thinking. Enjoyed the original Bungie trilogy but didn't love 4 or 5. The release date of Dec 8th fills me with Cyberpunk-induced dread - the thing there is that they likely won't have much time to patch before devs take some well-deserved time off.
Having seen none of the campaign worries me too - but maybe this is something they'll address in the coming weeks/months.
I was considering getting the limited edition Series X (I have a One X atm) but perhaps the best thing to do is see how it launches and either pickup a month's worth of game pass or sit back and wait.
Have they said anymore around how this game is going to be the Halo game for the next 10 years outside of MP having seasons?
@alexw00d: Ah. Oh yeah on Amazon they start at £2k - yikes.
What I'm suggesting would see the likes of Nvidia just keep taking orders for e.g. 3090 at that £1399 price and fulfilling orders as they come from the factory.
So you'd pay the MSRP and then wait until it was your turn in line to receive one.
You're never going to love everything (do you love all the Netflix shows they produce?) but there should be a couple in there that you like. Tbh the podcast, Grubbsnax and Jan + Pokemon is enough to keep me subscribed.
Specifically, not limiting pre-orders and letting people put their money down with the guarantee that you will eventually receive what you paid for?
Not sure I've seen any other company take this same approach, that unless I'm missing something, benefits everyone. Thinking about the PS5; I would have loved the ability to just plonk my money down and wait, rather than having to battle scalpers.
What am I missing? Does this generate less hype/press or something?
Stunning news to be honest. I'm also quite stunned to see just how many people have signed up for the patreon (I wasn't expecting them to surpass NoClip).
GBEast was never really quite my cup of tea so it's not something I'm interesting in giving dollars to. I still really enjoy the Bombcast and so I'll keep my premium sub to GB. I don't think this needs to be a one or the other type situation (GB OR NL)...
