NBA 2K13

I am a sports fan. I picked up NBA2k13 because my brother and I enjoy playing against each other in a sport that we play in real life. Unlike real life however, in 2k I get to dunk on my brother's player and taunt him in real life. I like the fact that there is a lot to do in this game, from creating your own player, to playing a season with an NBA team, to playing online against other people. The controls feel nice and tight. With a flick of the left analog stick, your character can do a cross over and sprint past the defender for a lay up, or my personal favorite, a windmill dunk. It is a very satisfying feeling to do moves that trick your defender, leaving you open to take the jumper or take it in the open lane.

2K13 is a nice looking game. The players faces are overall really good. Some players however, look way better than others (Kobe looks like an alien!). One of my main complaints are the fact that you cannot block dunks (I believe they changed that for 2k14), and how sometimes defense can feel wonky since you don't always get contact with a player and they can and do walk right past you. My favorite part of the game was my player. It was really fun to build him up into a beast point guard (shooting threes and dunking among the trees.) Overall, 2k13 is a solid basketball game (2k seems to get the idea about what players want). If you don't have a basketball game in your collection, be sure to grab 2k13, you will not be disappointed.
