Monster Breeder is a text-based browser game developed by Neil Cicierega. In it, the player is a breeder, initially unlicensed, who captures monsters and then breeds them. The resulting crossbreeds names are quite often puns based on the two parenting monsters.
After crossbreeding the monsters, the phone rings and someone offers to purchase a monster. Before purchasing the breeding licence in the in-game catalog, there is an option of asking if the person is a cop. Upon deciding to sell a bred monster, the purchaser gives some criteria for the monster they are looking for and the amount they are willing to pay for it. At this point, the player has three chances to select the correct monster from the stable.
As bred monsters are sold and money accumulated, that money can be used to purchase a breeding license, upgrades to the truck and capture gear, and improve the size of the stable.
