Fryguy is the male boss of World 4 in Super Mario Bros. 2. When defeated, he splits into four mini-Fryguys.
General Guy is the leader of the Shy Guys and the mastermind responsible for the robberies in Toad Town during the events of Chapter 4 in Paper Mario. He and the Shy Guy Army were ordered by King Bowser to guard Muskular, the fourth Star Spirit.

The first character who joins Mario's party in Paper Mario. He is a part of the Goomba species. He looks up to Mario and takes it as an honor to join his journey. Goombario's main strength is his ability to analyze enemies and the places you visit, so you can learn more about them.
The first partner you meet in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. She aids Mario with her gifted knowledge by "tattling" on enemies and any other significant character or object in the world.
Goomboss is one of the first bosses Mario and Goombario fight in Paper Mario. He later reprises his role as a boss in the games Super Mario 64 DS and Mario Kart DS. He is one of the only Paper Mario characters returning to Mario games, with the exception of the Star Spirits in Mario Party 5.
An overgrown, giant-tentacled Blooper. He is a major boss in Super Mario Sunshine and makes cameos in multiple Mario games.

Assigned by Bowser to guard the Sixth Star Spirit, Huff N. Puff is the sixth boss in the Paper Mario game. He also stops the Sun from shining on Flower Fields.
Iggy is the fourth oldest son of Bowser, a member of the koopalings, and a crazy genius.
A rogue man especially adept at speedy races. He uncovers Bowser Jr.'s magic brush at the end of Super Mario Sunshine.
A balanced character from Yume Kōjō: Doki Doki Panic. Replaced by Mario for the American "Super Mario Bros. 2"
Residing in Monstro Town he is the diminutive Martial Arts Master who will battle Mario 3 times so Mario can prove to him his strength. After Mario beats him Jinx relinquishes control of the Dojo to Mario, And begins training his students in the Mario Style of fighting.

Captain of the sunken ship, Jonathan Jones (or Johnny) is also the holder of one of the Star Pieces. Once again Mario must fight to prove himself to Johnny before he gives him the star.
Jr. Toopa is a punk kid who is always looking for a fight with Mario. Each time he faces Mario, he has new weapons and defenses to make him stronger.
A Magikoopa and a well recognized enemy in many Mario games. Kamek traditionally shoots magic attacks at the player.
The female Magikoopa from the Paper Mario series. She is said to be the "brains behind Bowser."
Optional extremely hard boss character from Paper Mario who's blocks the path to Koopa Town after the player gets through a few chapters.
The very first not-so challenging boss in Super Mario 64 for Nintendo 64 and DS.
The king of all Boos. He has been in many Mario games (mostly spin-offs). He has appeared as a boss in many of the main series' games, including being the final boss of Luigi's Mansion.
King Croacus IV is a boss in Super Paper Mario. The flamboyant king of the Floro Sapiens, Croacus adores beauty and spends most of his time brainwashing Cragnons to rebuild his castle full of jewels.
A boss in the Good Egg Galaxy and Bowser Jr.'s Lava Reactor in Super Mario Galaxy. He is a lava-dwelling octopus who spits objects at Mario.
Koopa boss character in Mario pinball land. He attacks by using magic pillars to make him smaller. Oddly his boss theme resembles culex's theme from SMRPG.
A boss in the Gnat Attack minigame in Mario Paint. He appears after you defeat 100 insects.
King of the Zingers in Donkey Kong Country 2 and its Game Boy counterpart and end-level boss of Krazy Kremland.
