Gamespot 2.

It appears people over at Gamespot have already begun calling Giantbomb Gamespot 2.

If it really is, at least it doesn't have GS's bad bits.

It's more GameSpot 2.0

gamespot is corporate. this is more chill. the community seems to be more from gamespot. hopefully not all the idiots come over.

the main site on the otherhand is great, its awesome to be able to talk to other people about characters, companies etc...

The only thing gamespot about this place is the fact that the majority of these members are from GS. It's a FARRRRR better site. Less cheesy graphics and more fat content.

God damnit, I hated the gamespot/gameFAQ's boards.

Oh well, I'll still post here.

Hopefully there are enough non-gamespotters to give this a fresh feel.

It's nothing like it. The only thing that hails from GameSpot is the editors, which isn't a bad thing. The site is completely different :)

Nah, GS will carry on going just fine. Just a lot of people will be on here as well as there. But so far, I'm liking the vibe of GB. 'So far' being the key words.

Gamespotters can give it a fresh feel too, don't single them out.

I don't think we should refer GiantBomb as GS 2 as they are 2 completly different website owned by different people.

I think that Giant Bomb will be a totally different experience to GS.

Nah, it has a totally different feel from GS... and that's the way I like it.

The only thing similar are the editors, this is completely different and it's brilliant.

I tend to favor reviewers that think like I do, because those reviews will be the best for me. After browsing through this site's review list, I can honestly say that I am in tune with these reviewers much more than the current Gamespot stock of tired old journalists.
So far Giant Bomb seems like the laid back yet content-packed version of Gamespot I have been craving ever since "the exodus of editors."

i actually like this more i don't think it's gamespot 2.0 or whatever but OT lost what it made it so awesome,i also  feel a bit more "relaxed" than over there...if i felt that i was going to get flamed by everybody if i posted something :P

I would set the sites apart, not just for obvious reasons, but for everyone's sake, since this is a new website, with a new idea and they should have the liberty to make a new name for themselves.

Personally I hope this stays as Giant Bomb and NOT Gamespot 2

Well so far it doesn't have any of the issues GS had.

meh its just jealously that drives them to make those comments considering its been less than a week and these forums are already a far better community than gamespot's and that site has been around for years

I like to call Giant Bomb, Giant Bomb but if you mean by users here...I guess you can call it that.

I think it's kind of dumb...gamespot 2 does not fit, this is a whole different thing.

You have most of the Gamespot community coming here, so it's probably why it feels that way.

But this place feels a lot more roomy if you get what I'm saying. No annoying bugs (so far), more freedom, and most notably so far, no religion threads:).

This is sooo much better than gamespot!

I like the atmosphere of Giant Bomb. There aren't corporate cnet.com assholes who don't want bad reviews of a game they advertised.
