Decided to give this game a shot since its been such a slow year so far. Its my first MMO and I've been playing it solo so far but would like to play with some other people. I'm not totally sure how all that works, so if someone wants to play and help show me the ropes, let me know.

You're playing for free, right? I stopped playing it last month. If you have any questions that no one will answer, shoot me a PM on here. Unfortunately, I do not play it anymore though, sorry.
Yea, definitely playing for free. It being free to play is the whole reason I started playing. I know next to nothing about MMOs, so I've just been treating it like a regular action game. The game doesn't do a great job of explaining itself and I feel like I'm totally missing out on a bunch of stuff.
I stopped playing a few weeks ago due to time constraints, but if you're having trouble, try the wiki: http://dcuniverseonline.wikia.com/wiki/DC_Universe_Online_Wiki
Its handy for working out some of the badly explained bits and pieces!
I just started playing on the PS3 and I really enjoy it. I'm picking up the Fight for The Light DLC because I'm a big Green Lantern fan and really want to make my own Lantern (both Green and Sinestro) :)
Just got back into it after maybe a year. Can't really afford playing swtor or wow at the moment, so this game and maybe Diablo III has been scratching my loot grabbing itch. So far I've been enjoying it, the servers are less packed which is to be expected for a year and a half mmo, but overall its alright and plus I get to sit on the couch and play this on the ps3. On a side note, Ambush Bug? Heard my first obscure DC character, hopefully the first of many.

I keep loading this up on my PS3 with the intention of playing it, then closing it in disgust when I remember there's a 6GB patch I need to install and I can't background download it.
It's incredibly annoying that the system doesn't allow for that. Even with PlayStation Plus, I get the small PSN patches, not the giant updates.
@Z3RO180: The games kind of weird, its a straight up mmo but the combat is an action rpg where you're given light attacks and heavy attacks depending on what type of powers and weapons you have you also have special powers depending on where you decide to allocate them. I'd probably compare it on the same lines as the Ultimate Alliance games if I could compare it to anything just with loot. I'm playing it on ps3 so not sure how it compares to the pc version, all I know is while both are free to play the pc version is free to download and install while the ps3 you still have to pony up for the disc. I'd say its worth it if you have time on your hands and you're invested in the universe.
