    Overview

CrossFire is a shooter developed by A.I Co. and published by Kyugo Boueki for the Genesis. The game was published in Brazil by Tec Toy.

In the game, the player alternates between vertical shoot 'em up sequences in their helicopter and top-down sequences where the protagonist enters an enemy base on foot in order to destroy it.

    Region Differences

Crossfire was originally released as Super Airwolf in Japan and used the Airwolf license. Elements from the Airwolf have been removed or modified such as the Airwolf theme music that would play during the vertical helicopter shooting segments as well as the commander who gave the player instructions. Gameplay, levels, and weapon upgrades remained the same.
